OUR FIRST DAY!!!

First day of our trip to Ecuador! We met up at the airport bright and early, and then slowly checked in. Once we were all checked in, it was time to say farewell to the parents. We passed through security uneventfully, and then proceeded to the gate. We had a bit of time before the flight, and some of the students had some fun with an interactive matching game (pictures to come!). We arrived in Miami around 4 PM. We had about an hour and half to eat and relax, with most of us going to eat burgers. After that, most of the students were either playing cards or Bananagrams. We boarded our flight to Quito at around 6:15 PM (Miami time). Quito is one hour behind American time, and we arrived at around 9:30 PM (Quito time). We met our tour guide and he took us to the bus. He explained to us a brief overview of what we were going to do in our time there, and gave us some advice. Finally, we arrived at the hotel. All of us were very tired, and we settled in to our rooms in order to prepare for tomorrow.
